Author Annie Dillard once wrote, "Fiction's wide audience, its independence from dictatorial experts ... keep[s] the field lively, loose, and ... healthy." While I encourage readers to pay attention to what experts are saying, I also think that if you want to have a conversation with nonexperts, that's valid too. And I'm just one of those nonexperts who's passionate about reading fiction (as well as nonfiction sometimes). I spend basically all my free time reading and talking about what I'm reading, and I'm using this website to digitally keep track of what I've read, what I liked, and what I'd recommend.
